THE PUB TO PUB

20th September 2026

When we started the Pub to Pub, it was just a small community fun run. Since then, it has quickly grown into one of Victoria’s most loved fun runs, all while keeping that authentic grassroots vibe. Race, run, or walk at your own pace; it is simply about getting out there and moving.

Our 2025 event, only our second, exceeded all expectations. We were blown away by the participation, the energy, and the atmosphere. We are so grateful to everyone who hit the course, enjoyed the scenery, and celebrated at the finish line. That is what the Pub to Pub story is all about: shaking off the winter, getting out there and moving, and basking in the finish line moment with friends.

Are you in? Is this your year? Challenge yourself, grab some mates, and join us for an unforgettable day of fun, fitness, and community. And of course, there’s nothing like celebrating your achievement with a well-earned beer at the finish line!

WHAT IS THE PUB TO PUB

The Pub to Pub is more than just a run; it's a chance to connect with like-minded people, explore the beautiful countryside, and support local businesses. So, gather your mates and family and join us for a day of fun, fitness, and a bit of Lanny community spirit.

Choose from three exciting options: the Junior Bolt, a short and sweet 1.5km run for the little ones; the Pub to Pub, a 7.5km course that takes you from Romsey to Lancefield; or the Pub to Pub to Pub, a challenging 15km out-and-back course.

After completing your chosen distance, reward yourself with a well-deserved post-run beer and BBQ at the historic Lancefield Hotel. It's the perfect way to celebrate your achievement and soak up the festive atmosphere.

EVENTS

PUB TO PUB TO PUB

DISTANCE: 15km | TIME: 9 am | LOCATION: Lancefield Hotel

The Pub to Pub to Pub starts outside the Lancefield Hotel. When the whistle blows, participants head south along the Federation Trail towards Romsey. This car-free, rail-trail-style track runs adjacent to the main road between Lancefield and Romsey, with hard-packed pea gravel underfoot, making it light and easy to run.

After the first 2km, you will tackle a series of small rolling hills that continue until you reach the outskirts of Romsey at the 5km mark. From there, the trail gradually descends as you take a loop around the local Lions Park, pass the 1860 Romsey Hotel, and begin the return journey back along the Federation Trail.

The course features a steady climb out of Romsey until about the 10km mark, followed by a lovely downhill stretch that leads straight back to the Lancefield Hotel. Here, feeling on top of the world, you can celebrate completing the full 15km with a well-earned beer and soak up the finish-line atmosphere.

PUB TO PUB

DISTANCE: 7.5km | TIME: 10 am | LOCATION: 1860 Romsey Hotel

The Pub to Pub starts outside the 1860 Romsey Hotel. When the run starts, participants head east along the Federation Trail towards Lancefield. This car-free, rail-trail-style track runs adjacent to the main road, with hard-packed pea gravel underfoot, making it light and easy to run.

The course features gentle rolling hills in the first few kilometres, giving way to a gradual descent as you approach Lancefield. The 7.5km course offers a scenic, straightforward route, perfect for runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels.

Finish at the Lancefield Hotel, where a well-earned beer and post-run celebration await.

JUNIOR BOLT

DISTANCE: 1.5km | TIME: 8.30 am | LOCATION: Lancefield Hotel

The Junior Bolt is designed for the little tackers. Starting outside the Lancefield Hotel, young participants head along the Federation Trail for approximately 750 meters to Beckermans Lane, then turn around and head back to the finish.

This car-free, rail-trail-style course is perfect for kids aged 3 to 12. It gives them a fun, safe challenge that is just the right distance to get them moving and engaged, without being too long. The fully sealed surface makes it easy to run or walk, and the course is fully free of traffic.

Finish back at the Lancefield Hotel, where kids can celebrate completing their first fun run and enjoy the vibrant event atmosphere with friends and family.

Parents/guardians are able to run with their children free of charge.
